Our horsedrawn heritage in the spotlight

 
 




  This event draws each year some sixty participants from ten countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

 
 
The competition is open to horse, poney, donkey and draught horse drivers. They harness ancient carriages, which work perfectly and have been restaured with passion by their owners.

The competitors drive one, two, three or four horses or poneys harnessed to carriages which are over a 100 years old for the most of them. They are called phaeton, berline, buggy, dog-cart, gala coupé, coach, rally-cart, hunting break, pump carrick, American, creating a spectacular show for the thousands of spectators who have come to admire them.
