Program for the 16th International Competition
of Traditional Horse-drawn Carriages
The competition runs for 2 days and includes 3 tests based on the rules of the Association Française d’Attelage, taking place in the Park of the Castle of Cuts and its surrounding countryside.
Saturday 26th May

Standing Presentation
Courtyard of the Castle
From 2:00 am to 5:30 pm
The turnouts are judged for the beauty of the carriages, their
occupants’elegance, the quality and neatness of the
horses and harnesses, their general aspect.
Sunday 27th May
09h00
Road Track Surrounding countryside
From 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
The turnouts must cover a course of some 15 km without any
problem. This test allows to assess the horses’
resistance and state of the carriages.

Cone Driving Park of the Castle
From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
This last test demonstrates the drivers’ skill as they
have to go through fifteen gates in a given time. This exercise
requires great accuracy.

Prize Giving Ceremony Park of the Castle
These awards bring together all the participating turnouts and offer the spectators an outstanding and unforgettable view.
